Of course. Temporary short circuit on my part. The original poster was
looking for a way to make a *table* fill 100% of the browser window, so
we were naturally discussing attributes of the <table> tag, not <tr> or
<td>, despite my mistyping. Making <tr> or <td> 100% won't do anything
about the original question.
