yes there are lots of software options (way too many to name) which can be found through google. i'm wondering if anyone has links to articles one could send to a client to help convince them that they shouldn't be bcc'ing. thanks! maisha ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alvaro Medina" <incomt65 at hotpop.com> To: <thelist at lists.evolt.org> Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2004 12:33 AM Subject: Re: [thelist] tips on avoiding "bcc"ing to avoid being a spammer > Actually, where I work we send mass-mailings from time to time and we find > that Hotmail and Yahoo, among a few others, do indeed take our mail as spam > because we have all of the addresses in the BCC field. Well, of course if you have tons of adresses in the bcc field, you will be taken as spammer (or should be). Again, the best method for bulk mailing is using some bulk mail software, I have used Mojo mail (now its called Dada mail) and work great, but with a little knowledge of PHP you can do a script yourself. Thats what I've been using now for bulk mailing, and it works better, because its custom made.
