It an be done with MX2004. I just read an article the other day about 
it. Unfortunately I didn't bookmark it, and can't remember how I found 
it. It was on a co.uk site. That's all I've got

There were some small nuances, but nothing major. It directly addresses 
using a style sheet to control your text formatting in Flash.

The article was a 10 min read if that.

So in summary, it can be done. If I remember how to find the article 
I'll post it :)
