Hi
Some justifications
1. Lack of Transactions Support in Access
2. Plenty of free Support
3. Later versions of MySQL supporting stored procedures
4. MySQL outperforms MS Access in all benchmarks
5. Most importantly MySQL is Free!
Access / ASP has been used because in can be set up my numptees in a
matter of minutes with a variety of Wizards.. I have seen this happen
where I work and these deployments all ended in tears when somebody
expected professional programmers to take on and maintain these solutions.
Scrap it while you can
Cheers
Nick
