I've seen a number of successful online Access databases, my favorite being
(shameless ...) at:

http://angeles.sierraclub.org/outingsDB/index.aspx

Certainly not the best solution for a high-traffic site, but if you're locked
into MS/IIS, and don't want to contend with MS SQL, it works.

(And it even has a built-in spell-checker.)  ;-)

I think that depends upon how much work they've done, and how well you what
they've done.
