Hi Burhan

A couple years ago at our office we did some unscientific photoshop
tests, latest PC vs. latest Mac: the Mac was wiping the floors with the
PC...

Not a regular Mac user myself, but I've got an impression that anything
Adobe just loves Macs, where as anything Macromedia is veeeery sluggish
(and unreliable even) on a Mac. (This might not be the case anymore, Mac
users, any views on this?)

A test of 1U servers I read earlier this year gave good points to Xserve
for web server tasks, but as a file server it was the slowest of the
lot, where others had SCSI (and Xserve uses SATA). But if there are only
a handful of users, I think SATA wont be a problem.

I've been a Windows user for a long time, but since the OS X I've been
looking more and more at the Mac option, very tempting in many ways. So
far the price has been the limiting factor - with PCs you just get more
bang for your buck (even if the bang is uglier and louder...)

hth,
.k
