Thanks for that. I have downloaded MySQLCC...but I am struggling to
connect...could you please give me some advice on how to connect...?

I use MySQLCC[1] on daily basis, and phpMyAdmin[2] too, neither is
perfect to my tast, but together they are great. Good thing with MySQLCC
is that you can access remote DBs with it.
MySQL administrator[3] might come handy at some point.
I also use Apache/PHP on my local machine to connect to remote MySQL. I
have local MySQL too, but often I want to try a script on 'real' data,
but not yet upload the script.
