SSL certs are tied to an IP address, not dns name. However, they are
tied to the IP address:port (the standard is 443). We were able to
get around the scenario you describe with our Cisco LocalDirector
that sits in front of the web server(s) and redirects requests to a
specific port on the IIS server. To be honest, I've not played around
with IIS6 (yet!) So I'm not sure if this is possible without an
external solution. Others?
