You talking about Mailenable (www.mainenable.com)?
Other than POP3 and SMTP, and possible HTTP, I don't see how it would use
any other allocated ports.

What exactly is the issue you are having? Mailenable has a diagnostic tool
built in that you can run from within the MMC snapin that will tell you if
ports are not available etc (well, it covers all the essentials, and I'm
pretty sure it covers that issue).
