[thelist] movable type and mysql

Might be doing some database work (php, mysql) on a site using movable
type more or less as a content management system (primarily to allow the
owners to do their own maint/updates.) I have zero experience with MT.

Will this be any different from working with a non-MT site? Any caveats?
Anyplace I can go to read all about it? googling for some obvious terms
doesn't seem to return what I'm looking for.
