Joel, If your comments can live in an unlimited-length (varchar or a memo) field, then why not just append (or pre-pend, for reverse order) each comment to the memo field? I'm doing that here and it works just fine. One downside is that it wouldn't be so easy to see a list of each person's individual posts if they are tied to other events and hidden inside memo fields, but if you're not interested in that list then this would be a simple option. <pseudocode> UPDATE posts SET comments = comments + username + datetime + 'my new comment' WHERE postid = 99 </pseudocode> Hope this helps.
