hey justin,
i've run into the same problem, and started using waste [0]. it's 
basically a personal p2p network. you install it on any of the machines 
that want to share, and connect to each other to see whatever folders 
are set up to share. a friend and i have been using it since march and 
i've got it on my home desktop and work laptop (moved 3gigs in one 
sitting, 1.5gigs another time)... the only thing is that it requires the 
IP / hostname for any of the systems, but there's a lot that can be 
configured.
of course, that would be good for co-workers, but not so much for 
clients... you could look into network file sharing, and there are 
setups you can get just to use it. i think linksys makes one, and you 
can put it on the network and set up for anyone to access it (and /or 
restrict anyone from accessing it). check out the business solutions on 
the linksys site [1].
