[thelist] Finding a host

Hi,

Today I found myself in a similar situation where I have an IP address only,
and I wish to know who owns it.

For this I found http://www.ripe.net to be exactly what I needed. Go to
their whois service and enter the IP address.

HTH!
David Travis.

This might help. Go to http://news.netcraft.com/ and put the website URL
into the "Webserver search" box in the top left of the page. It'll tell you
who owns the IP block the server is in.
