If you're undecided on an email/PIM, Evolution is a really nice client (recently purchased by Novell but open source nonetheless) http://www.novell.com/products/desktop/features/evolution.html Especially nice is that Novell is sponsoring it's development to clone and eventually surpass Outlook. Once you get your Outlook Express data into Thunderbird, then you can follow the instructions in Part 2 of this migration guide for exporting from Thunderbird to Evolution http://www.neotek.hu/en/o2e_migration_guide.pdf These are both tools for migrating Outlook to Evolution http://www.neotek.hu/en/o2e_en.html http://outport.sourceforge.net/index.php Another approach would be if you have an Exchange server that you're migrating away from, you could export Outlook Express to Outlook to Exchange, and then use Evolution's Exchange connector to grab it. hth - Chris http://www.semioticpixels.com
