Yes, you can export messages and comments from Basecamp but not, as far 
as I can tell, any of the information regarding projects, clients, 
milestones, files or other related materials. And if the site goes down, 
you're SOL. That's why I've been looking for a system that we'd host 
internally. Just my preference in this case...
