Sweet! Seems to work for me in Firefox, Opera, IE 6 and 5.5, although 
not IE 5, but I'm not too worried about that, it's not like it 
completely breaks the layout.

And since no one has raised any red flags about the use of absolute 
positioning, I'm happy to use it.
