Hi,

it happened to me as well, as son as I typed http://localhost or the IP a
password box would come up in firefox.

There were no new permission to set, my problem was that the personal
webserver installation was messed as I installed dotnet framework on my
machine. I reinstalled pws after the dotnet installation and everything went
fine

I hope this might help you.

Markus

Subject: [thelist] Setting permissions so localhost can be used by Firefox

Can someone remind me how to set up the permissions to allow Firefox (and
others) to access my localhost? IE is working fine. It is not the hosts
file, as 127.0.0.1 <http://127.0.0.1> localhost, already exists there.
 This is for WinXP Professional.
 TIA,
 Michele
