Depends on the hosting provider. If it's burstable,
then that means the speed will jump up to handle the
larger downloads, however if it's going to be pulling
24/7, you probably don't want that, will end up
costing you a lot.

You could cap the d/l speed (if you have root, and can
setup throttling).

FTP may be better, since you can resume interuppted
