Maybe good timing - but Macromedia just announced a
few hours ago that it is now shipping Flash 8.  It
apparently has a new codec in it to compress video
into FLV format that far surpasses what Sorenson can
do.

We convert all movies to .FLV and use Flash to stream
it or progressively download it.

Flash has built in components to output streaming and
progressive videos in FLV format.
