That reminds me, I just bought a Maxtor Shared Storage drive. Your
standard 300GB external HDD, with USB2 and Firewire interfaces, except
it also has a 100baseT network connector and can be configured to run as
a Windows share.
It's patently using Linux and Samba (telltale things from probing it as
a system, like "NT Version 4.9", etc), even though, in an attempt at
obscurity, the web config for the system uses .asp file extensions.
Nice drive. I'd recommend it. ObDisclaimer: I have no connection to
Maxtor, just a satisfied customer.
