I am by no means a DB expert, but the classes I took on Access used
naming schemes similar to those you list. For instance:
table - tbl_name
report - rpt_name
form - frm_name
I currently name all my primary key fields with the name of the table
plus ID, thus tablenameID.
I can't say that either of these conventions helps me much now that I'm
used to working with Access, but when I was just starting out, it helped
a lot. It especially helps others here who have direct access to the
database and the db contains lots of reports, etc.
