[thelist] mysqlimport with 'ignore' to archive data

our phone records box will start overwriting old data when the primary
table hits 100K rows. to preserve historical data we need to write it
off to another table.

the phone box admin tools can be set up to automatically back up the db
on a schedule. on the slave side, would mysqlimport with the ignore
option be my best choice for importing all new records without touching
existing records?
