[thelist] firefox js menu toggle creates cellpadding ?

Dear Members,

I've got this simple test page under this url

There is a table with a td to the left and right.

now if you use the "show/hide menu" href with firefox (i'm using firefox 
  1.5.0.2) to toggle visibility, the space between red and gray increases.
this does not happen with ie 6.
(klick 5-15 times)

So I wonder what's causing the trouble...
