My favorite cheap host (DigitalSpace.net) uses SpamAssassin v3.0.4,
with their filtering threshold set to 5.0.

It's been so reliable that I have set my email client to
automatically
delete anything it flags.  It's never given me any reason to suspect
a false reading.

They have had some capacity issues, however.  They tell me they need
"one spam server for every two shared hosting servers".  (Whatever
that means.)  It seems that when they are overloaded, I get about
two dozen undetected spams a day (out of several hundred).

Overall, I give it a good review.
