[thelist] Can't Create MS SQL Full-Text Search catalog

Been on Google and can't find a solution... I did find a couple forum
posts that dealt with the same problem, but they did not offer a
solution.

When trying to create a full-text search catalog, I receive the
following error: 
"Execution of a Full Text operation failed. The Directory Name is
Invalid."

The server is a Windows 2003 Server. SQL is: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 -
8.00.818 (Intel X86) May 31 2003 16:08:15 Copyright (c) 1988-2003
Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790:
Service Pack 1).

The path to directory is: e:\SQL\MSSQL\FTDATA. It is a local drive.

Any ideas?
