[thelist] OT: Best PDA or Smartphone for Work and Getting Things Done!

Folks,

I've been looking for a while now for a PDA or Smartphone to organize
my work and everyday tasks better... I am trying to implement Dave's
Getting Things Done philosophy.

I've used Palm products before, and also the Pocket PC.... I prefer
the Palm by far.

But the fact that we have to carry so many gadgets around, plus the
issue with syncing with the Mac is new territory... my last PDA run on
Windows, so that was a no issue.

Anyone can recommend any PDA or Smartphone that is not that expensive
and Mac friendly? Even if you only have experience with the PC
syncing, any advice would be appreciated.

I've been looking at these alternatives:

PDAs
Palm TX
Palm Z22 (cheap, but is it good enough?)

Smartphones
Palm Treo 650/700 (great but too expensive for me now)
Sony Ericson w810i (limited PDA capability)
Motorola SLVR7 limited PDA capability)

Any advice would be appreciated,
