AWstats is a very good free program.

Also try Google Analytics. It's free the downfall is the use your stats to
understand user behavior.

SmarterStats seems to work pretty well. Their licensing plan lets you
run the software on one site for free:

Hi,

Can you send over recommendations for software that keeps track of how many
times a web page is hit and by who? I've heard of Web Trends, but I was
wondering if there any better or cheaper ones out there?

Thanks
Jess
