FWIW, I saw a similar problem with Contribute 2 a couple of years ago;
using what I considered pretty basic CSS positioning resulted in wierd
layout views, unselectable text, etc. Depending on the complexity of
your design, tables might be the last-gasp option. Unfortunately.
