[thelist] sub-domain???

I know there are technical reasonings but personally I prefer
sub-domains.  They're easier to remember (for me) and have a sense of
permanent-ness.  I've read articles about google love in regards to
sub-domains and when to use them.  But my basic understanding is that
there isn't a huge difference between sub-folder and sub-domain when it
comes to optimization.  Both can be treated as a separate and complete
site in it's own right.  I think if there is weight to be carried then
the sub-domain would "look" better to the bots that the sub-folder.
Just my 2 cents.
