Thanks everyone for your answers.

I will meet with the client in 12 hours, so then I will know more  
about which db they use etc.
What I know yet is:
- low amount of data
- user fills in web form
- database in the client's office room PC (not the Office  
software ;-) should be updated

I definitely want to head for a simple solution, without dangers of  
client changes breaking up stuff.
So I'll get back to you guys after that meeting, with clear  
questions :-)
