ah forgive my ignorance here, but just wondering, with the likes of 
zen-cart, oscommerce, virtuemart, they are very structured, modularized 
and they tend to be fairly robust but customization of the theme, 
look/feel, is definitely a serious task.  digishop is commercial, bucks 
attached, but closer to plug/play in that you can incorporate the 
look/feel into an existing site without guru effort.  cubecart is 
somewhere between the two worlds.

where does miva merchant fall in the mix?  can you add/incorporate 
features 'easily' into a basic html site?
