[thelist] Google analytics slowdown (was "GoDaddy SSLVerification")

Nope, only thing in the page is the Google Analytics tracking script. Here's an example:

<script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript">
</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
_uacct = "UA-xxxxxxx-1";
urchinTracker();
</script>

Nevertheless, this bit of code leads to pages sometimes waiting, waiting, for Google Analytics to chew on the code.

We do *use* Google Adwords to return paid search results to links to some of our pages, but no extra code gets put in those pages, it's all done at the Google end.

I too am. I think there is a confusion here b/c Google Analytics is
nothing more than a call to an external JS script and should, AFAIK,
have no effect whatsoever on the page loading nor rendering. Inability
to get the script should, furthermore, not display any message.

Perhaps the original poster meant Google AdWords?
