[thelist] is clickbank.com legitimate?

Hi All,
 
I was sent an email from a company that sells a book that is the same
subject as an informational website that I run. I can sign up for an
affiliate account with click bank and advertise his book and make 50% of the
profit.
 
Is this real or a scam??? Has anyone done business with them before? 
All that I found out is that it is not accredited by the Better Business
Bureau in the US and have an unsatisfactory record!
