The more I think about this, the harder it seems to measure. Some 
QuickTime includes traditional Microsoft codecs, and vice-versa, so it 
would not be directly tied to viewability. Virtual operating systems 
make the question even more complex.

I'd guess Macs would have a higher proportion of Flip4Mac (which 
effectively "replaced" Windows Media Player awhile back), because 
there's more Windows Media video on the web than QuickTime these days. 
But I don't know what adoption Windows users have actually made of Apple 
iTunes. [shrugs, throws up hands]

Anything in particular you're trying to do? That might make it easier to 
answer.
