[thelist] MySQL and Ubuntu8.04

hrmm it might be that no db has been initialised,
i've tried doing several workarounds with resetting persmissions etc. i'll 
check the ubuntu speific forums and see if they have any answers before 
unistalling it and see if i can figure it out that way.

I was using sudo to start mysql ie try and run it through the root acount 
with admin privileges. but to no avail, so we shall see what happens
