That's a good point. This happens all the time at universities. You
generally get a 6 mo "grace period" after graduation, after which your
email address goes back into the pool of email addresses available.
Theoretically within only a couple of days the same address could
belong to two different people (assuming the IT dept doesn't have a
policy of waiting another x months after the email address has been
shut off before it can be reassigned).
