It even gets better than what Paul said.  There are several blog 
components which have been developed for Joomla including a Wordpress 
component via CorePHP.  I've implemented this on a number of websites.  
One of the advantages, of course, is that as a Joomla component, it 
already suits up with the website's look/feel.  "all-in-one-seo-pack" is 
one of the available plugins as are a number of sidebar, category 
modules, etc.  It's not FREE, but for $80 or so you get an off the shelf 
solution that works.  You can get a multi-blog version as well and if 
you need to you can change the CSS as necessary.  I looked at other 
solutions (a year back, maybe more/better now) and the others at the 
time were more awkward. My basic requirement was an integrated solution.
