I think you can use javascript to prevent ordinary "right-click" downloading of any images and even hide the direct image URLs; folks could still grab screen caps, but especially if the images are large & hi-res they'll only be able to get low-resolution grabs and perhaps only segments of entire images. So you'd still be preserving a lot of image-value for the client.
