I've been on here for so long, I can't even remember when I joined. But I love this list, and it's always a buzz to get the emails.

I've always been more of a lurking member, but I have contributed to discussion. However I have learnt a huge amount from the discussions over the years even though I'm a relatively recent member.

Strangely just before this email stream started, I was thinking that it was sad that that there had been no activity for ages.

I'm not sure how to take this forward, but between us we have an humongous amount of experience that deserves to be shared. It would be a shame to think that we have become irrelevant.

So I vote for keeping it going - somehow. I offer help, and I'm thinking about ideas..

Regards

Simon

Good to hear from you Ron!

I'd certainly be willing to try to help ... but I'm not sure I'd end up being very helpful. Like a lot of other folks I'm even less technical today than I used to think I was. <Keanu voice />Whoa!

Still working in reporting ... rebuilding the same things over and over.

My spare time is mostly taken up running, cycling, and pretending to swim. (Which has come in more handy than you might think this week here in 'Highwater Houston'! <g>) Someday I may pick up one of my guitars again or try my hand at that writin' thang some spinny folks have found to be so captivational.

RonL.

I have not posted anything here in years. I actually archive all
messages from this list automatically, so my Inbox doesn't grow
cluttered more than it already is.

Somehow, these messages started showing up in my Inbox earlier this
week and it brought back many memories.

No matter what happens, it has been good to see names of people that I
have great respect for and have learned so much from over the years.

I must say that the collapse of thelist hastened my departure from
more active internet building activities. I ended up going back to
school and getting a Master's in Development Management... no... not
internet development but community development. But I always wanted to
do something that combined tech and development so... we'll see where
I end up.

Mostly I miss the camaraderie. Being a front-end/design weenie,
thelist was often more techy than I needed it to be, but I learned a
hell of a lot, and loved all the people.

i <3 evolt!

If people do want to resurrect things I'd be happy to help out and be
involved in any way.

Cheers,
Tara

Yeah, my mailing list filters stuff the mails into a dedicated folder,
which gets clicked on occasionally -- usually daily.

Indeed. I'll participate for the forseeable future, as thelist has
been a big help in the past.

That too.
