[thelist] Keep it going!

Another quite lurker here.
To validate the continuation of this rustle of emails, seems to lie with
the question if the list is being used. In that respect, it dried to a
trickle over the past several years. In it's glory days this list offered a
wealth of information and insight, even this quiet lurker occasionally
posted his dilemma's iirc. I actually quite like it that these emails
flutter through the internet. Bring it on.

So, my first was a ZX Spectrum with the fluffy keys, talking about key
combinations that at times drove me entirely mad. I was 16 or 17 then, it
took me two weeks before I started soldering on the motherboard: memory
expansion and stuff. I actually think I still have several of these MB
connectors (what is it, 2 x 30 pins or so) laying about. Those were the
days that a program could be transmitted by radio (by some geek radio
station/program), recorded onto a cassette player (that's what the pencil
was invented for in the first place), and loaded unto the computer.
My 2c.
