[thechat] Ugh... sometimes i hate working alone

I think I have the best of both worlds... I own/work for a small web
development company with a staff of 5, so there's the Office Thang if I want
that, peers, coffee breaks with other people, occasions to get dressed in
real clothes, etc.

On the other hand, I hardly ever take advantage of that, and mostly work
from home, in my PJs.

But, the other people at the office are doing network stuff, software
development, and business management. I'm the only web design bod there.

Which is normally just fine, but I've been struck with the Dizzy Flu: ie,
you have the flu and the major symptom is that you're so amazingly dizzy all
the time that you have an "uptime" of about 45 seconds and then you fall
over or pass out (or both).

Which, as I was supposed to finish a project today, is a total bummer.

Makes us look bad as a company, the client is understanding but not
thrilled.

Telephone reports from other victims suggest laying prostrate for a MINIMUM
of three days, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

I sell our services on the advantages of a smaller firm: more flexibility,
personal accountability, etc.

Except when you have the Dizzy Flu :o(
