It's your reflexive prejudice against all things religious which gives you
this innate doubt, not any evidence or research you yourself have done.

Or am I mistaken and have you done research on religion and the civil rights
movement?

Recall that Dr. Martin Luther King was himself a preacher.

Recall also Mohandas Gandhi, who drew strength from faith.

Desmond Tutu, another example.


And I find it telling that you /didn't/ respond to this that I said:

I'm not claiming religion is always good, indeed, I am saying it stands
along most human endeavors as capable of drawing out the best, and the worst
in people.

isaac, you seem to be claiming that religion is all bad.

Now, that may be the experience you have had of those who claim a faith.

But it ain't necessarily universal.

Those are my thoughts.
