Sounds like the things I used to teach @ camp 11 years ago.

Or would have done if it weren't, y'know, 11 years ago. Our computing
resources were <drumroll /> 3 Apple ][Es.

But I *did* help a friend in the Arts & Crafts dept teach lanyard, and we
ran a course together on making and using pinhole cameras from
recycled drinks tins.

Make a bigass hole
Sand it back
Paint it all matt black inside
Cover the hole with tin foil
Pierce the smallest hole you can possibly make with the newest (ie
sharpest) pin you can find.

A complete pinhole will be way too big and won't focus well. It *might*
work with a long focal length cardboard box (eg shoebox endon), but
not with a drinks can.
