Hey Ben -
What OS you running? Does it have a 'suspend to RAM' mode or anything in
the control panel under
'power management'(or something like that if you're using windows.
Also, the next time your computer comes up, use the DEL key(or whatever
it says) to get into the BIOS.. from there, take a peek around in the
chipset settings to see if there is anything that looks like power
managment and try turning it off.
I had that problem with my old vaio, the damn thing would suspend to RAM
out of nowhere and I'd have to pull out the bateries and power cycle it
for anything to come back up..
