not sure if you would class jeff noon as 'real scifi',
though.  he's sometimes classed as cyberpunk.  i'm not
into fantasy but into near-future urban scifi.  and
although there's some really weird stuff in 'vurt' and
'pollen' i definately wouldn't call it fantasy (no
goblins or elves but some strange creatures that
you've never thought of).
