[thechat] RE: Anyone Using XP and Multiple Monitors? (Response from ATI)

I sent email to ATI about my 3D Rage Pro Turbo AGP and my Rage XL PCI
working together under Windows XP and was told this:

"If you are using a Rage Pro card in Windows XP with another simliar older
PCI card, they will not function together on the same motherboard. These
cards are not supported under Windows XP beyond basic bundled XP display
drivers available off of the Windows XP CD. If you wish a dual display card,
please read more information about the Radeon VE 32mb at:

http://www.ati.com/na/pages/products/pc/radeon_ve/index.html"

Basically a 'go buy more of our products' response...does anyone have any
experience with the Radeon VE dual head? I can get these around 50$ or so
and unless anyone has any real negative experiences with them, I probably
will.
