[thechat] Red Hat keeps locking

I am not quite sure what you mean. I installed Red Hat 7.1 then upgraded
to 7.2. I then installed Ximian in order to get Evolution 1.0. But when
the computer locks, I can't get to any other terminals, I literally
can't do anything, the entire computer just locks.

If you mean that I should try those terminals when the computer is
running, I am a little lost as to what that will tell me.

are you upgrading or installing fresh? if you're upgrading, i'd bet its 
the ximian stuff thats horking the box.

if you've got a fresh install, hit <alt>+<f3>, <alt>+<f4>, and 
<alt>+<f5> to see what its locking up on. doing that will take you into 
a terminal that the actual install script is running in, and you'll be 
able to see what its getting hung up on(like a bad disk)

see whats in those terminals and let me know, you'll work it out :)
