OSX is designed to happily co-exist with OS9. Apple, being very aware of
the lack of applications that would run under their brand spanking new
OS, designed OSX to have what is for all normal (can't spell intensive)
purposes a OS9 emulator.

Under OSX it's called "Classic", but it's basically an enviroment to run
OS9 apps under the new OS.

As with any emulator things aren't as snappy as they are under the
original system, but it's not bad.

And you always have the choice of booting into OS9 proper to get stuff
done if you get sick of the slight slowdown.

So 'yes' is the short answer *:)
