... and from the other end of the spectrum ...

My first DVD was 'True Lies' - I had to buy one to make sure the DVD
drive on my new PC worked.

That was almost 2 years ago ... and it's still the only DVD I own.

I don't watch much TV.

(Who hasn't even had cable since 'the man' turned off my free cable
about 6 years ago. I've got a TV with 'rabbit ears' now - <with
Jack-in-the-Box balls on the ends to improve commercial reception>. ;-)
Gosh - just remembered - when I *did* have cable, I didn't even have a
TV! [I had a 15" color NEC monitor and a TV tuner box (with remote!) --
the tuner had absolutely no brand name on it whatsoever - which I always
found vaguely disconcerting. My son was not amused. Bad Dad! But it
would let him play his Sega.] I've got a Sony PS1 that mostly sits and
gathers dust until my son comes down to play it.)

My first DVD was 'The Princess Bride.' Standing there in Costco, it just
didn't seem to matter that I had no DVD player at the time. It called my
name, and I answered.

So now, if you count all my son's game systems and various PCs, we've
got
five DVD players. It's a sickness, and it has to stop.
