Now that I think of it, the only thing that bothered me was the fact that
the NBC affiliate in Spokane didn't even have the ceremonies on until they
were over.  I kept switching the channel from CBC to NBC to see if they were
going to get on with it.  When the ceremonies ended, I switched back to
Spokane's NBC station and lo and behold they were just starting.  Huh? Not
only that, but there was a LIVE graphic in the top left corner of the
screen.  You'd think that Spokane would be interested in the Winter Olympics
(especially since they are so close to Utah, compared to, say, Japan), sadly
for them, some lame Hollywood Friday night prime-time show pre-empted a
shared global moment.

Shame.
